See it everywhere!
Photographs are everywhere these days and that is a very good thing. Two galleries in Portland that are not known as photography galleries hosted photograph shows last month: Dan Kany Gallery and Whitney Art Works. Domaine Gallery on Commercial St. features fine art photography all year ’round. The new kid on the block is Addison Wooley Gallery, opening March 7 with four photographers in a group show: Tillman Crane, Victor Romanyshyn, Ruth Sylmor and Rene Braun. It is located at 87 Market St. in Portland. We’ll be going on First Friday coming up for sure.
We received a blurb from The Blue Marble Gallery in Waterville that says they are looking for artists for Summer and Fall of ’08. From the pic on their e-mail it looks like they display photographers and painters. I think it is part of digitalimageworks.biz. (873-2300)
